September 1, 2020
Datamax announced the acquisition of Advantage Copy Systems, a privately?owned business technology provider in Sulphur Springs, TX.
Established as a Canon dealership in 1992, Advantage Copy Systems is provider of office machines and copier-related consumer products in the Northeast Texas area. The company was purchased in 2006 by long-time Sulphur Springs/Hopkins County area residents, Dan and Paula Brown.
Datamax said that this agreement represents an integral part of the Datamax Growth Plus (+) strategy to further expand and strengthen its marketplace presence within Texas and Arkansas.
The newly-expanded organisation will offer a complimentary array of multifunction copiers and printers, desktop printers, wide?format printers and digital production equipment. Coupled with Document Management/Workflow solutions, Managed Print Services, Managed Network Services, IT consulting services, and Unified Communications, the ability to address “holistically” a broader spectrum of business technology challenges can now be realised.
“We are very excited about this new association and all the advantages that it will provide for the company, the employees, and most of all you, our customers,” said Advantage Copy Systems President Paula Brown. “We will continue to offer you the personalized customer service, which we feel is the most important factor in maintaining a good business relationship, as well as the ongoing growth of the relationship.”
“The Advantage Copy Systems customer and employee commitment level is clearly the same, which makes this a wonderful match,” said Barry Simon, President, Datamax Inc. “This acquisition will offer additional synergy and thought leadership to ultimately benefit customers in all of the markets we serve. Although business alignment is a major factor in such an acquisition, what we’re equally excited about is our cultural alignment. We believe culture trumps all. At Datamax, we aren’t satisfied with customers or employees just being satisfied. Our mission is much bigger. We set the bar very high regarding the experiences of our customers, as well as the aspirations of our employees and the needs of our communities. Unless we’re Creating Raving Fans of each of them, our job is simply not done.”
