UK businesses are at risk from cybersecurity neglect. A new Ricoh report reveals that 56% of organisations report a lack of cybersecurity awareness.
As the UK marks World Productivity Day, Ricoh UK is warning that cybersecurity blind spots are quietly creeping up on UK businesses, as fewer than half deliver regular cyber training to.
Ricoh’s 2025 UK Digital Maturity Survey, which gathered insights from over 570 business professionals from across the UK, also found that over half (56%) of UK businesses say employees lack basic cybersecurity awareness.
The report, specifically designed to outline the state of UK businesses’ current levels of digital adoption and preparedness for the future, also found that significant gaps remain in digital infrastructure and hybrid working environments.
Among the most concerning findings were that half of UK organisations still rely on manual or paper-based processes, while a third struggling to integrate technology into daily tasks.
Furthermore, one in five have yet to adopt cloud technologies, and only half report having strong digital tools to support collaboration, while a quarter already say their hybrid workspaces need rethinking.
