Chris Hewlett leaves top role at HP to head up the end-user sales team.
Hewlett joined HP as an enterprise Account Manager, working his way up the HP ladder. In 2014 he was appointed as the Commercial Channel & SMB Country Business Manager, and in 2017 he was promoted to Director Commercial Channel, Alliance & SMB.
Hewlett said he was “going back to my roots” by rejoining the end-user sales team for personal systems. His new title is Enterprise Sales Sirector – End-User Personal Systems (printers and PCs)
Thanking his colleagues via LinkedIn, he said: “I’m extremely happy to have the opportunity to lead such a talented team and am excited to continue to work with our fantastic partners and customers. Thank you to my wonderful channel team who have set the highest benchmark in the industry over the last 7 years. Thanks you for challenging me, winning with me and mostly supporting me as I embark on this new journey at HP.”
An HP spokesperson said the search for Hewlett’s replacement is underway.
Last month The Recycler reported that HP President and CEO of HP Inc. Dion Weisler announced that effective 1 November 2019, he will step down while remaining a director on the company’s board. Enrique Lores, currently President of HP’s Imaging, Printing and Solutions business, will succeed Dion Weisler.
On Monday The Recycler reported that HP’s EMEA President, Nick Lazaridis, is leaving with immediate effect and is being temporarily replaced by Helena Herrero, Managing Director for HP Iberia.
