Change in management at Konica Minolta Germany and Austria
November 27, 2024
Werner Theißen, a long-standing member of the company, will take over management for Germany and Austria from 1 December 2024.
Konica Minolta Germany announced an upcoming change in management, Joerg Hartmann, who has headed the company since November 2019, is leaving Konica Minolta at his own request when his five-year contract expires in November 2024.
“Through his commitment and enthusiasm for innovation, Joerg has made a decisive contribution to the digital development of Konica Minolta,” explained Werner Theißen. “His commitment to technological solutions has enormously expanded our business opportunities. I would like to thank Joerg for this and wish him every success in the future.”
Werner Theißen has been actively involved in the transformation of Konica Minolta into a technology and managed service provider as a member of the management team for many years. He will continue to drive growth and strategic direction as a leading company in the printing and IT industry. In addition to his most recent role as Director of Sales, he will contribute his expertise to Konica Minolta’s sales and digitisation strategy.
He says of his first planned steps: “We are meeting the major challenges in our industry with solutions that specifically address the changing needs of our customers. Our ‘Future Business Models’, which we will be launching onto the market shortly, will be an important game changer. These are print service offers with short terms that are precisely tailored to customer needs. In addition, for larger projects, we will rely on new SaaS offerings without financing or investment to secure our customers’ financial flexibility.
The previous Managing Director, Joerg Hartmann, led Konica Minolta Germany and Austria through challenging times. The COVID-19 pandemic, global supply bottlenecks and radical changes in the IT and printing industry shaped his daily work. Under his leadership, the perception of Konica Minolta in Germany and Austria changed significantly – from a hardware provider to a partner for digital transformation that delivers real added value through data, the company explained. As Corporate Vice President of the global Konica Minolta Group, he played a key role in expanding the IT business.
