Zygoquest Group served as the advisor to Carefree Office Technology, Inc. and its owner Chris Jones on the sale of assets to Centric Business Systems, Inc.
Carefree Office Technology, founded in 1995 and located in Fairfax Virginia, was owned and operated by Chris Jones. Carefree Office Technology specialised in Managed Print Services (MPS) and sold and serviced copiers, printers and MFPs as an authorised Xerox Gold Document Technology Partner and as an HP Authorised Reseller and Specialist Partner
Centric Business Systems, founded in 1990, is an office technology dealer owned and operated by Rick Bastinelli, President. Centric is headquartered in Ownings Mill, Maryland with branch offices in Hagerstown and Salisbury, Maryland; Malvern and York, Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, McLean and now Fairfax, Virginia.
Centric has been providing customers throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington, D.C. with document management and imaging solutions including Managed Print Services (MPS), workflow analysis to output solutions, IT Managed Services, and digital copiers, facsimile systems, digital duplicators, printers, folders, shredders, and related services and supplies sourced from industry leading vendors such as Sharp, Ricoh, Kyocera, Xerox and HP.
The acquisition of Carefree Office Technology continues Centric’s regional expansion throughout the Washington D.C, Virginia and Maryland market while pushing Centric’s annual revenue above $60 million (€53 million) with 260 employees.
Chris Jones will continue to work in a sales capacity with Centric Business Systems.
