The OEM maintained its war against patent infringement on Amazon over the festive period, announcing the filing of new Report Infringement Forms with the online retailer’s Spanish division.
The first form filed by Canon with Amazon.es was based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Spanish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model CE505X offered by CONSUMO INFORMATICO S.L. under the ASIN B00R0G0ILS.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.
These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CE505X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The second form filed by Canon with Amazon.es was based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Spanish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407. This form regards the cartridge model “CE505A” and “CF280A” offered by WIN-WIN INTERNATIONAL (H.K) HOLDINGS LIMITED under the ASIN B07B65V4TP. Amazon took down the respective products, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CE505A, CF280A and comprise a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
