Canon announced its successful inclusion in the latest National Education Printer Agreement (NEPA) framework, managed by the Northeastern Universities Purchasing Consortium.
Canon has been awarded supplier status on all the lots it tendered for, including:
- Lot 1: Desktop printers – This lot covers Canon’s extensive range of desktop printers, catering to both B2B and B2C markets. Customers benefit from high-quality, reliable printing solutions that meet diverse needs from everyday document printing to high-resolution graphics.
- Lot 2: Workspace solutions – This lot encompasses a variety of workspace solutions, including multifunction devices and collaborative tools designed to enhance productivity and streamline workflows in educational environments.
- Lot 3: Managed print room services – This lot focuses on comprehensive managed print room services, offering universities a centralised printing solution that ensures efficiency, cost-effectiveness and high-quality output for large-scale printing needs.
- Lot 4: One-stop shop – This lot combines the offerings of Lots 1, 2, and 3, providing a holistic solution that covers all printing and workspace needs in one package.
This milestone marks a significant expansion of Canon’s offering to the education sector, particularly with the inclusion of Lot 1 which involves the full range of its B2B and B2C portfolio of products, the company explained.
Canon’s place on the NEPA framework provides a key route to market for the Higher Education Sector, allowing universities to access its comprehensive range of products and services. The NEPA framework also permits suppliers to nominate up to three resellers to deliver services as prime contractors. Canon has named the following partners across Lots 2, 3, and 4: SCC, Vision, and Aurora.
Stephen Moody, Sector Director, Education at Canon UK & Ireland, said: “In today’s rapidly changing world, we’re pleased to confirm we’ve been awarded a position on the National Education Printer Agreement 3 Framework allowing us to partner with our Higher and Further Education customers. We’ve secured a position across all four Lots allowing customers to select from our full range of products, offering the sector one of the largest choices on the market today with our comprehensive range of technologies.”
Paul Eagleton, IT & Telecoms Category Manager at Northeastern Universities Purchasing Consortium said: “Having been successful on previous iterations of the Framework, we’re delighted to welcome Canon to the latest NEPA Framework. The Framework has a focus on the higher education sector and is open to all members of the six participating UK Procurement Consortia, whose members include a range of different organisations mainly across education and other sectors.”
