Canon requests removals from Amazon UK

The OEM has embarked on a triplicate of new Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.co.uk regarding product listings which allegedly infringe Canon’s European patent.
The first of the forms centres around the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by N&J Inkjet Ltd. under the ASIN B00LVSWTRM.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective product, which is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The second of the forms was based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by SUPERLAPTOP CO., LIMITED under the ASIN B01FO0EBGO.
This product is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing. Amazon also removed this product from its listings.
Finally, Canon Inc. announced the filing of a Report Infringement Form with Amazon UK based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by PRINKTONER LTD under the ASIN B079DXVW13.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective product, which is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
