Canon requests further cartridge removals

Continuing its fight against patent infringement, Canon has announced the lodging of three more Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.
The first form was filed with Amazon Italy based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by SOS Promoting di Anastasio Gianfranco under the ASINs B076X3HW85, B01N287HNT, B00JA9KEQ2, B01NAJ5JMR and B00BHYBUWK.
Amazon took down the respective products, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280X and provide a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The second form was filed with Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Spanish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF226X” offered by Oscar Lopez Tena under the ASIN B01GG565RO.
Amazon also took down the product concerned, which is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF226X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
Finally, Canon filed a form with Amazon.co.uk based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by My Tech di Fiorellino Franco under the ASIN B01BX29Y46. Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective product, which is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280X and provides a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
