September 28, 2022
Canon released four new monochrome multifunction devices for offices with enhanced environmental performance and enhanced security performance to prevent information leaks.
Canon has announced the release of three imageRUNNER models, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4845F / 4835F / 4825F and the Satera MF7625F device, all of which will be available from late October 2022.
Canon said that the new products have achieved industry-leading low power consumption, responding to environmental issues that are attracting more and more attention, and all models have enhanced security performance to prepare for increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks.
The models come with industry-leading standard power consumption (TEC value) with approximately 25% reduction in power consumption compared to conventional models. With a compact design of approximately 565 (width) x 722 (depth) mm, it can be placed even in small offices with limited space. In addition, by installing a finisher (paid option) that supports stapleless binding, up to 10 sheets of paper (64g/m2) can be bound by crimping.
Canon says the new models are MFPs that handle large amounts of information, such as scan data and print jobs, require advanced security performance as IoT devices. The new products support the latest standards such as “TPM 2.0” and “TLS 1.3” that provide strong encryption functions for data storage and communication, and the wireless LAN security protocol “WPA3”, providing robust security performance.
By linking with the cloud-based MFP function expansion platform uniFLOW Online, it is possible to use ID authentication for printing in a secure environment, use the tabulation report function, and link with various cloud services, contributing to improved operational efficiency.
