Canon launches first PIXMA Zone

October 25, 2018

The OEM’s new concept store was launched in Janakpuri, India this week, showcasing the company’s range of inkjet technology.

Designed and conceptualised to exhibit the entire range of Canon Inkjet technology and its features, the PIXMA Concept store is designed to familiarise the consumers with all categories of inkjet printers, cartridges and photo media, according to their usage and needs. By providing a personalised demo experience with an excellent sales support, the store is described as “a one-stop shop solution for all printing requirements.”

The launch of the PIXMA Zone is timed to compliment the festivities prevalent in the country currently. Users will be able to avail various festive offers at the store, enabling them to “commence their celebrations with enthusiasm.” These include a ‘Print & Play’ offer, through which customers will get Bluetooth Speaker free on purchase of PIXMA G 2010 & PIXMA G 3010. Customers will be able to avail themselves of the benefits of this festive offer, until the 31st of December.

The Canon PIXMA Concept stores are designed to further help the retailers understand the consumer behaviour and provide them with exclusive products, schemes and offers, keeping pace with the latest technology.

Located at Janakpuri District Centre, the store was inaugurated by Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO of Canon India, alongside Eddie Udagawa (Vice President, Consumer Imaging & Information Centre) and Mr. C Sukumaran, (Director of Consumer System Products for Canon India.)

Speaking at the inauguration, Kobayashi declared: “At Canon, we consider it as one of our primary objectives to strengthen the culture of imaging, by making both clicking and printing an enriching experience for our customers. From input of images to output, we take pride in taking care of the entire 360 degree offerings, starting with the camera, then image processing, to printing of pictures. The commitment, skill and innovation to offer a complete solutions portfolio is what makes our offerings unique and leading in the market.”

“For almost a decade,” he continued, “our CIS stores have been instrumental in this regard, and today’s launch of the PIXMA Zones will further support our endeavour. We foresee these stores to be yet another contributor in our journey of customer delight, enabling us to penetrate into the widest geographies in the country.”

“In line with our constant endeavour of customer satisfaction, we bring for our customers the exclusive PIXMA Zones, which will further contribute to strengthening the awareness for our printer portfolio,” added Udagawa. “Our inkjet printer range has established itself as one of our top performers, catering to our wide customer portfolio, including home, SOHOs, jobbers, and even expanding to the SME segment. With these customised PIXMA Zones equipped with well-trained demonstrators, we look forward to providing an exhaustive product experience to our existing and potential customers. Along with Delhi, we aim to open the PIXMA zones in metros like Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai this year. We further envision strengthening our retail footprint and regional penetration, by expanding the stores to the tier II and III towns, in the coming years.”

Sukumaran also shared his thoughts, saying: “With the continuously increasing demand for our inkjet products, we are further strengthening our outreach with the launch of conceptualised and experiential stores. Printing is a form of expression, whether for personal or professional use and it demands the right technology and understanding. The PIXMA Zones are designed to address the varied print requirements of our customers and simplify their printing needs with live demonstrations of our expansive inkjet portfolio. We would want people to experience joy in printing and the right experience will enable them to further understand this space of imaging. We are positive that our shop in shop stores will strengthen customer engagement and add value to their buying experience. We would be happy to make all efforts to make this festival season more joyful and prosperous for them.”
