Canon expands its i-SENSYS range
March 19, 2018
The OEM has revealed the latest devices to join its extended portfolio of document solutions.
The i-SENSYS MF520 and i-SENSYS MF420 series MFPs and i-SENSYS LBP210 series laser printers are designed to develop partners’ proposition to smaller businesses and workgroups in various vertical industry sectors, as Canon explains.
The new compact devices address partners’ total cost to serve, while providing high-quality black and white print technology to add to partners’ suite of solutions. Partners can draw on existing sales knowledge to provide consistent levels of consultancy, and tackle three key areas of importance to their customers: security, productivity and control.
Canon’s security credentials are designed to open new revenue streams for partners. As information security becomes an increasing priority for customers of all sizes, the LBP210 and MF420 and MF520 series come equipped with a range of solutions for device authentication. From the built-in Universal Login Manager to uniFLOW online cloud and uniFLOW on-premise server solutions, administrators can control access to the device, manage permissions and protect document security with Canon’s secure printing features. Partners can meet the growing demand for solutions that minimise the cost and reputational damage arising from unauthorised data access, as well as diversify their offering from the competition.
The i-SENSYS devices have been designed with optimum productivity in mind, according to the OEM. Capable of printing up to 43 pages per minute, with single pass, double-sided scanning in seconds, the devices speed up workflows and allow partners to appeal to a wide range of business requirements. All three ranges come equipped with AirPrint and Mopria support as standard. The built-in Mobile Portal enables secure mobile printing, and compatibility with existing software and technology platforms allows partners to better support and promote new ways of working. Combined with the Canon Genuine Cartridge, partners can guarantee that reliability and quality is maintained throughout the life of the printer with the technology to minimise downtime. The design of the cartridge has been especially improved to increase efficiency and durability, while the Auto Seal Removal technology makes installation even more hassle-free.
Including many cost-effective features that further reduce the requirement for training and maintenance, the i-SENSYS devices minimise the total cost to sell. Enhanced functionality such as the intuitive 5-inch colour touch screen and customisable Application Library featured on selected models, help partners move into the lucrative and growing home and small office space by offering automation and robust management of everyday tasks. Administrators can print stored forms, scan-to-email and copy documents with a single tap. The feature also allows the administrator to customise the order of the buttons on the screen according to user needs and customise their own displays.
James Pittick, Director of B2B indirect sales, Canon UK, comments: “For Canon partners, the latest i-SENSYS devices present a way of building new revenue streams. From the point of sale, the devices are designed to tackle security and productivity issues, while significantly increasing ease of management and reducing the ongoing costs associated with maintenance for partners. This combination represents maximum value to both our partners and their customers.”
The i-SENSYS MF520 and i-SENSYS MF420, and i-SENSYS LBP210 series will be available across Europe from April 2018.
