Canon Europe unveils its latest range of PIXMA inkjet printers

The OEM launched a new range of PIXMA inkjet printers and smart scanners, including the PIXMA TS9540/TS9541C, Canon’s first A3 inkjet All-In-One printer in Europe.
Newly compatible with Amazon Alexa, use voice commands such as “Alexa, start Canon Printer” and “print a colouring sheet” to an Amazon Echo or other Alexa-enabled devices. Also, through voice activation, users can confirm their printer’s status, such as remaining ink levels.
The Canon PIXMA TS9540/TS9541C is a compact all-in-one inkjet printer that is capable of A3 printing, with a comparable A4 printer footprint. It delivers incorporates Canon’s FINE printhead technology and its five individual inks give photos a rich gradation and up to a 100-year album life, reports Canon.
Canon classes the printer as ideal for business or home office use, with built in efficiencies such as smartphone operation and seamless Wi-Fi connectivity taking the fuss out of printing, scanning and copying. It is also compatible with AirPrint (iOS) and Mopria (Android) for direct printing from smart devices.
It also features an intuitive 10.8 cm touchscreen and an oversized copy feature to manage A3 documents. Booklets can be created straight from the printer’s touchscreen and multi-tasking is achievable with a 2-way paper feeder and 20-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). The PIXMA TS9540/TS9541C is available in a classic white (PIXMA TS9541C), or black (PIXMA TS9540.
The Canon PIXMA TS8240 is an all-in-one printer that produces high-quality photos. Placed by Canon as “perfect for home or office use.” With six individual inks, including Photo Blue, and a seamless wireless connectivity, users can easily print exceptional borderless photos up to A4.
This compact inkjet printer offers connectivity to the PIXMA Cloud Link via the Canon PRINT app (iOS/Android).
Capable of high-speed printing up to 15 images per minute (ipm) mono and 10 ipm colour, the PIXMA TS8240 can create a 4×6 inch borderless photograph in a matter of seconds. It also features a 2-way paper feed designed for practical flexibility, along with optional XL and XXL cartridges to help cut costs while printing more.
Canon further explains that the PIXMA TS8240’s 10.8 cm touchscreen and a multipurpose tray cater to those with a creative flair.
The Canon PIXMA TS6240 is perfect for preserving fine detail in photos and creating professional-looking documents with a dedicated pigment black ink, reserved especially to keep black text sharp. Using Wi-Fi connectivity, the free to download Canon PRINT app (iOS/Android) allows for control from a smart device, as well as access to popular cloud services through the PIXMA Cloud Link.
The 7.5 cm touchscreen on the PIXMA TS6240 works seamlessly and can start printing and scanning in seconds. It works with five individual inks, auto 2-sided printing and borderless photo printing for sizes up to A4.
The Canon PIXMA MG3640S is a compact, all-in-one home printer that offers seamless wireless connectivity to smart devices and the cloud. It is also capable of high-speed and high-quality printing, copying and scanning. It has the option of XL Canon ink cartridges and auto 2-sided printing.
The Canon PIXMA TR4540 is a multifunctional printer that can copy, scan and fax multiple page documents with the 20-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Amazon Alexa-enabled devices can also connect to the PIXMA TR4540, allowing voice commands to be used to print check lists and templates, or to check ink levels and printer status.
The Canon PRINT app can be used to print, scan and copy without even turning on a computer – only a smartphone is required. Alternatively, without the Canon PRINT app, the PIXMA TR4540 can be operated using AirPrint (iOS) or Mopria (Android), and it is possible to print with Wireless Direct access. Cloud connectivity allows documents to be scanned to Google Drive and Dropbox amongst others, using the PIXMA Cloud Link. The ID card copy feature also enables both sides of an ID to be scanned onto the same page.
Also launched was the new Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 and the Canon CanoScan LiDE 300.
The Canon PIXMA TS8240, PIXMA TS6240, PIXMA MG3640S and PIXMA TR4540 printers and CanoScan LiDE 400 and CanoScan LiDE 300 scanners will be available from September 2018, with the PIXMA TS9540/TS9541C printer available from November 2018.
