Canon announces new Amazon listing removal

The company has requested the removal of toner cartridges offered by xianshi yanliangqucanranbaihuoshanghang via Amazon Germany.
Canon Inc. announced that it filed an Infringement Report Form with Amazon.de based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 44 of the German portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 3 470 931 (“EP ‘931”) regarding certain toner cartridges offered by xianshi yanliangqucanranbaihuoshanghang under the following ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number).

The reported cartridges are intended for use in HP printers and compatible with OEM HP cartridges. The cartridges contain new – non-OEM – components, including the housing comprising a slit, the photosensitive member, the coupling portion and the gear portion according to claim 1 and claim 44 of EP ‘931.
As a result of the Infringement Report, Amazon removed the respective cartridge offer.
