Canon annoucnes more Amazon removals

The OEM issued announcements on 24 December about more Amazon removal requests in Germany, UK, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.

Canon Inc. announced that it filed Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the German, UK, Italian and Spanish portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 2087407 (“EP ‘407”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by PingyaoxianJiegeRiyongpinbaihuozhongxin under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.

These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF258A and provide inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.

Also announced were the filing of Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claims 1 of the German, UK, Italian and Spanish portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 137 577 (“EP ‘577”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by Chang Sha Heng Zhi Cai Dian Zi Ke Ji You Xian Gong under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.

These products are compatible with the respective OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing, a non-OEM developing roller, as well as a non-OEM coupling member comprising a rotating force receiving portion and a rotating force transmitting portion according to claim 1 of EP ‘577.

And finally, Canon announced that it filed Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de and Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claims 1 of the German and Spanish portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 137 577 (“EP ‘577”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by Hong Kong Boze Co., Limited under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.

These products are compatible with the respective OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing, a non-OEM developing roller, as well as a non-OEM coupling member comprising a rotating force receiving portion and a rotating force transmitting portion according to claim 1 of EP ‘577.
