Canon and Ricoh earn ENERGY STAR

Canon U.S.A., Inc. and Ricoh announced that they earned the 2022 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Each year, the ENERGY STAR programme honours a group of businesses and organizations that have made notable contributions to help protect the environment through outstanding energy achievements. ENERGY STAR award winners demonstrate dedication to leadership in energy efficiency in their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services, and strategies. These efforts help to protect the environment through energy efficiency.
“It is an honour for Canon to again receive ENERGY STAR’s Partner of the Year Award and Sustained Excellence Award,” said Shinya Fukuda, Vice President and General Manager, Canon U.S.A. Inc. “We are committed to social and environmental responsibility, so to see our efforts recognised in these endeavours is rewarding. Ricoh USA, Inc. earned the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for a seventh consecutive year.
“A top priority for Ricoh has always been to focus on people, prosperity, and the planet, which includes bringing constant innovations to market while driving sustainability to benefit humanity,” said Donna Venable, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Deputy General Manager, Shared Services, Ricoh North America. “In the past year, we spearheaded new initiatives to reinforce our dedication to reducing our environmental footprint and made significant strides in aligning our sustainability activities with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is in sync with our keen focus on our work with the EPA supporting the ENERGY STAR program, an initiative we are fully behind. We are truly honoured by this recognition.”
Winners were selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners.
