January 25, 2018
The OEM has been included on the annual list published by Fortune magazine.
Fortune magazine has named Canon USA Inc. as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies 2018, in the latest publication of its annual list. The magazine describes its list as the “definitive report card on corporate reputations” and bestowed positive marks on Canon for its financial soundness, long-term investment value, social responsibility, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness. Resultantly, the OEM placed fourth overall in the Computer category.
Christine Sedlack, Canon’s senior director and general manager of Corporate Communications, called the OEM’s inclusion “a true testament to Canon’s forward-thinking vision, solidifying the strength of our brand and speaking to our continued commitment to innovation.”
The rankings were calculated on the basis of feedback from executives, directors, and analysts from 680 different companies in 29 countries worldwide; they were asked to rate companies based on the criteria above, as well as on people management, use of corporate assets, quality of management, and innovation.
“Canon prides itself in developing leading-edge technology to help meet the needs of our customers while still staying true to our strong philosophy of corporate social responsibility,” explained Sedlack. “Receiving this honour is the result of the hard work and dedication of all Canon employees, as well as the devotion of the company’s loyal customers, for which we are incredibly grateful.”
