April 22, 2021
The OEM announced a new MAXIFY GX MegaTank series printers for small offices and home offices as well as two new PIXMA printers.
Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced two new MAXIFY GX MegaTank Series printers: the Canon MAXIFY GX7020 and Canon MAXIFY GX6020 printers.
The MAXIFY series of MegaTank printers utilise a high-volume continuous ink supply system which may significantly reduce ink costs for colour printing, producing approximately 14,000 colour prints and approximately 6,000 black ink prints before needing to be refilled.
The four-coloured ink set is pigment based, which is well suited for business use as the printing does not smudge easily when using a highlighter since the ink is highly resistant to friction. The continuous ink supply system contributes to a low total cost of ownership and running costs of roughly two cents per colour print. Along with a small overall footprint that easily fits in almost any office environment, these printers are backed by a three-year limited warranty, giving consumers the peace of mind that they will be ready to work when needed most.
The MAXIFY GX7020?is a four-in-one (Print, Copy, Scan, Fax) printer capable of holding up to 600 sheets and auto-duplex scanning/copying. The MAXIFY GX6020 is a three-in-one (Print, Copy, Scan) printer that is compact in size, has a paper capacity of up to 350 sheets, includes two extra black ink bottles, and is capable of large-volume printing at a high-speed.
The Canon MAXIFY GX7020 and Canon MAXIFY GX6020 are anticipated to be available in April for an estimated retail price of $899.00 (€747) and $799.00 (€664), respectively.
Canon U.S.A., Inc. also announced two new PIXMA printers: the Canon PIXMA TS3520 Wireless All-in-One Printer and Canon PIXMA G620 Wireless MegaTank Photo Printer.
The Canon PIXMA TS3520 Wireless All-in-One printer is ideal for those who are looking for an easy-to-use printer and is an entry level user, the improved user experience of the PIXMA TS3520 printer allows consumers to engage with a web-based, user-paced navigation manual during set-up of the printer, so that consumers can have their new printer up and running more easily and more quickly as compared to its predecessor, the PIXMA TS3320 printer.
The Canon PIXMA TS3520 printer also includes:
- A four colour ink system
- Rear tray paper feedings
- Wireless connectivity enabled via consumer’s compatible smart device
- A 1.5 inch LCD screen to easily view and monitor the status of the printer

The Canon MegaTank series printers are ideal for those consumers who print high-quality photos at home and who appreciate the convenience provided by these printers’ continuous ink supply system.
The Canon PIXMA G620 Wireless MegaTank photo printer leverages this technology specifically for photo printing – and with a page yield of approximately 3,800 for 4″ x 6″ colour photo paper prints4, this printer can significantly reduce the users’ need to refill ink tanks frequently. The Canon PIXMA G620 printer features an expanded colour gamut, as compared to four colour inkjet printers, with six colour dye-based ChromaLife 100 inks helping to promote archival photo quality.
With the ability to print on a variety of paper types, including semi-gloss, gloss, and matte paper, the approximate cost per 4″ x 6″ colour photo paper print is $0.25 (€0.20).
