Brother Industries, Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, BROTHER MACHINERY INDIA PRIVATE LTD. has established a new machine tool Technology Centre in Pune, Maharashtra, which is its third Technology Centre in India with a showroom.
The opening ceremony was held on 5 June. The Technology Centre will be used as a facility for marketing and technical support, showcasing, demonstrating machine tools, hosting various seminars, performing test processing, and conducting service support activities.
Brother opened a technology centre in Bengaluru, southern India, in 2021. After that, in 2022, Brother established BROTHER MACHINERY INDIA as a subsidiary to oversee the machinery business in India, and in 2023, it established a Technology Centre in the northern city of Gurugram. Then in 2024, BROTHER MACHINERY INDIA also started producing machine tools.
Now, the third Technology Centre in India has been opened in Pune, and with no bases in the western region of India, this will enable Brother to provide marketing and technical support closer to customers in the area.
The showroom also displays five models of the SPEEDIO series compact machining centres (S700Bd1, S700Xd2, R450Xd1, M300Xd1-5AX, and H550Xd1), and is available to answer customer questions about part processing and for test processing requests.
With this new facility, Brother now has six Technology Centres in Japan and 13 overseas.
Customers may bring their own parts for test machining. Moving forward, Brother said it will continue initiatives to demonstrate the high productivity and environmental performance of its machine tools to customers through various seminars and live demonstrations of machining and test cutting at the facility using actual machine tools.
