Brother makes donation to support refugees

Brother Industries, Ltd. announced that it will donate ¥20 million ($133,66/ €123,794) to UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, to support global refugee and humanitarian assistance.
This donation will be made through Japan for UNHCR and will be used for UNHCR’s most needed relief efforts, such as protection, education, medical care, and livelihood support for refugees and internally displaced persons.
Brother as a group donated €500,000 ($540,064) in March 2022, ¥35 million ($233,975/ €216,595) in March 2023, and ¥20 million ($133,66/ €123,794) in March 2024 to the UNHCR.
The company said: “In light of the current global situation where the number of people forced to flee their homes due to conflict and persecution continues to rise, Brother will continue to support the UNHCR through ongoing donations.”
Brother said it hopes that the human rights and dignity of refugees and displaced persons will be protected and that they can live in safety.
