Canon stands out in the small and mid-size workgroup categories
“Low- and mid-volume environments looking for a monochrome device should strongly consider Canon’s standout offerings,” said Kaitlin Shaw, Associate Director of A4 Hardware at Keypoint Intelligence. “All of the winning models promise to keep downtime to a minimum with their flawless reliability and strong user-friendliness. And broad mobile support means users can stay productive even when they’re away from their workstations. Notably, the devices also integrate with Canon imageWARE Enterprise Management Console and uniFLOW, which offer enterprise-level functionality and give administrators an impressive level of control over print costs and document security.”
Epson offers extraordinary value to small and home offices
“Taking home four Picks in the small and home office categories, Epson offers an unbeatable value to low-volume users,” said Shaw. “The devices use Epson’s cartridge-free ink tank system and include up to two years of ink in the box. This, combined with low-cost refill bottles, translates to a cost per page that’s massively lower than the average of competitive models, even other inkjets. For this remarkably low cost, users get high-quality output, perfect reliability, and impressive user-friendliness, including touchscreens, simple routine maintenance, and low intervention rates. Monochrome or colour, letter-size or wide format, Epson has a device that will easily meet your needs and will save you a lot of money in the long-run.”
HP earns Ssweeping wins in the high-volume category with eight picks
“HP offers a vast collection of high-performing workhorses that promise to keep up with the demands of even the highest-volume environments,” said Shaw. “All winning devices delivered flawless reliability performances, fast speeds, and impressive ease of use, translating to maximum uptime. Administrators and IT workers will appreciate the models’ comprehensive fleet management capabilities and, most importantly, their top-level security features. In fact, HP FutureSmart Enterprise v4 firmware and HP JetAdvantage Security manager passed Buyers Lab’s Security Validation Testing program, with FutureSmart earning the Device Penetration and Firmware Resilience testing seals and JetAdvantage Security Manager earning the Policy Compliance seal.
“Furthermore, HP’s colour models give businesses the ability to print marketing materials inhouse rather than having to outsource. The devices produced vivid, high-quality output, and the LaserJet Managed E85055dn offers colour-matching functionality and a glossy enhanced print mode. Finally, all the models integrate with an impressive array of software and apps that streamline business processes. This helps high-volume environments save even more time as well as reduce costs.”
Lexmark recognised for outstanding colour offerings for small workgroups
“Lexmark’s compact, user-friendly devices are great fits for any small workgroup looking for a coloor printer or MFP they can count on for reliability and high-quality output,” said Shaw. “Producing vibrant colours, clean lines, and clear text, image quality should more than meet the needs of general office use. Small workgroups can also rest assured that these devices will keep them productive given their strong performances, combined with how easy to use and maintain they are. And flexible mobile and cloud support means productivity can continue beyond the workstation.”
