Blackberry teaches secure file sharing
August 13, 2018
The company has released an e-book explaining why Blackberry Workspaces is the right option for secure file sharing and file transfer.
The foreword to the e-book states that “employees are now sharing their organisations’ files more than ever before” and because many of these files contain “sensitive or proprietary data” they can prove to be vulnerable “when they move beyond the enterprise’s security perimeter.”
As a result, for companies that want to maintain their security “an enterprise-grade, IT-controlled file sync and share solution is now a must-have.” Blackberry Workspaces received “perfect scores” in 17 out of 34 of Gartner and Forrester’s evaluation criteria for Enterprise File Synchronisation and Sharing (EFSS) and achieved the top rank in Forrester’s report when it came to Security Capabilities.
Explaining why EFSS is so important, the e-book states, “Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFFS) systems can address the needs of both employees and IT – as well as the business overall – allowing people to securely save files in cloud and/or on premise storage, access them from mobile or desktop devices, or even protect them beyond the company firewall (to varying degrees).”
The e-book contains four chapters, providing detailed information on how to choose an EFSS solution, driving productivity and collaboration through maximising ROI, how EFSS can protect organisations, and explaining why security-conscious organisations opt for Blackberry Workspaces.
