Voted for by its audience, Radio Bilbao’s Kutxa Labor Prize has been awarded to Bioservice.
Listeners of Radio Bilbao have voted and decided the Kutxa Labor Prize awarded by the audience, this year goes to Bioservice. The company is no stranger to winning awards, having been awarded the Recycler’s 2018 and 2019 Collector of the Year award.
Bioservice was chosen by the audience from three final nominees, the goalkeeper of the Athletic Club, Ainhoa ??Tirapu, Zero Plastiko Urdaibai, the sustainable initiative that aims to clean up the Biosphere Reserve and Bioservice, which trains and offers work to people with disabilities and performs school programmes in cartridge recycling.
Radio Bilbao listeners chose Bioservice for promoting the integration of people with disabilities into its labour force and its commitment to the environment through sustainable development and encourage recycling among children.
Other winners of the fourth Bilbao Radio Awards for Excellence are Jorge Fernández, the School of Hospitality of Leioa, BC3, Eroski, Álex Mumbrú or Asier Etxeandia.
Alejandro Pedro and his four other partners created the company ten years ago and employs twenty-four people and an authorized waste manager to collect printer cartridges and sell them (cartridges, drums, waste container, fuser, transfer belt, etc.).
Focused on the collection from end users gives Bioservice the opportunity to get all kinds of empties (popular ones and niche ones) and means the company is focused on quality so it could offer maximum quality and a very competitive price.
The gala evening of the Bilbao Radio Awards for Excellence will be on 24 March at the Euskalduna Palace where the awards will be handed to the winners.
