The French company is doing its bit in the fight against the pandemic by 3D printing face visors for the local hospital in Nantes.
French newspaper Le Figaro reported that with the help of a collaboration between the University of Nantes and Armor, Nantes University Hospital has received 800 3D printed protective visors last week. The visors were tested for suitability by the University for medical use.
In the report, a CHU spokesperson said that the plan is to ramp up production of the face shields to 1,000 a day and expand use from just hospital staff to other frontline staff who are the most exposed to the virus.
