ARMOR Print Solutions adds more Nordic Ecolabels

Since the beginning of May, its OWA brand has obtained Nordic Ecolabel certification for 44 new toner cartridge references.
ARMOR Print Solutions has a real desire to commit to a more sustainable future by doing its bit to protect the environment, and eventually wants to certify 100% of the laser and copier toner cartridge range for the OWA brand. The company said that new references will therefore be certified in the coming months and on an ongoing basis.
The Nordic Ecolabel, also known as the “Swan label”, is an environmental certification scheme which guarantees that labelled products and services comply with rigorous ecological criteria and meet strict environmental impact standards throughout their life cycle. The label was introduced in the Nordic countries in the 1980s and is now widely recognised in Scandinavia.
It covers a wide range of products, including everyday consumer goods, chemicals, household appliances, construction products, foodstuffs and many others. This label enables consumers to make more sustainable choices and to support companies committed to protecting the environment.
To obtain Nordic Ecolabel certification, products must comply with a set of strict criteria established by the Nordic Council of Ministers. These criteria are based on scientific studies and environmental considerations such as energy consumption, CO2 emissions, use of harmful substances, waste management, use of natural resources, etc. Companies must apply for certification, provide detailed information about their product and undergo regular audits to maintain their certified status.
