Armor has introduced a new packaging solution for its laser range of its OWA brand, eliminating plastics.

In its commitment to a circular economy, Armor has managed to significantly reduce its impact on the planet and do its bit for fighting plastic waste. The company has introduced a new greener solution for its OWA laser cartridge range.

Making the announcement, the company said: “At Armor Office Printing, we are proud to announce the launch of a new packaging solution for our OWA brand laser toner cartridge range! Our goal here is to offer a greener solution by reducing the environmental impact of our packaging.”

According to Armor, its R&D team has been working on this new solution for the last 13 months but has managed to find a packaging solution that does not use any single-use plastics.

As part of its “zero plastic” approach, Armor points out that this innovation will result in:

  • a reduction of 10 tonnes of plastic per year
  • smaller box sizes
  • optimised storage and transport
  • easier shelving for its customers’ stores and
  • optimised padding and filling for boxes to reduce the amount of space and cardboard wasted
