ARMOR GROUP becomes shareholder in ExoCell

September 11, 2024

The company announced it is joining forces with ExoCell to become a significant minority shareholder.

Since 2023, ARMOR GROUP has been involved in an industrial diversification programme called ARMOR GROUP Open Industry, designed to meet various challenges such as the energy transition, the recyclability of materials and water purification.

Industrial sectors such as agri-food, chemicals and electronics need a lot of water to function, but have few solutions of intermediate size and cost that are not just for very large structures. Based on this premise, ExoCell offers sustainable solutions that are easy to install and quick to commission for recovering, treating and reusing water on industrial sites.

“This is a new milestone for ARMOR GROUP in our programme to support innovative startups that share our ambition to develop an industrial ecosystem that’s positive for the French economy and the environment, already seen through our support for HoloSolis, Equium and Blackleaf. Our investment in ExoCell is ARMOR GROUP’s first in the water purification field. And, I’m really delighted about this as it reflects our genuine desire to get involved, on our industrial mid-cap level, in the challenge to preserve water resources with a view to making a positive environmental contribution,” declared Hubert de Boisredon, ARMOR GROUP Chairman and CEO.

“We’re delighted that ARMOR GROUP is now involved in ExoCell’s development. Its capital investment will enable us to finance part of our brand new rental equipment fleet, which is set to play a key role in our growth. Four equipment solutions are planned for 2024 and eight every year afterwards. What’s more, ARMOR GROUP teams will also provide us with their expertise on industrialising and structuring our company’s business development,” emphasises Stanislas Michaux, ExoCell Co-Founder.

ExoCell’s offer is based on modular systems, making it possible to propose the most appropriate technology and treatment equipment for each industrial customer. Once installed on site, in less than half a day, the systems carry out a decantation and flotation process, followed by a second treatment before the clean water can be discharged or reused. “Our most emblematic installation? The treatment of deluge water from Ariane 6, which has been operational since this summer,” said Stanislas Michaux.
