Ares unveils compatible chip solution for HP 92/93 series

Ares Microelectronics (Ares), a compatible chip and printing solutions manufacturer, announced the launch of the industry’s first compatible chip for HP 92/93 series ink cartridges, designed specifically for use in HP OfficeJet Pro 9110/8120 printers.

Since their global release in November 2023, HP OfficeJet Pro 9110/8120 series printers have relied on HP 92/93 series cartridges equipped with highly encrypted chips. This breakthrough marks a major milestone in the compatible printer supplies industry, solving a challenge that has perplexed manufacturers for nearly 18 months.

The company says these chips are fully patent-safe and IP-compliant. Ares adds that its compatible chips integrate seamlessly with standard plastic cartridge shells, “providing a reliable and flexible solution for aftermarket manufacturers”.

To date, Ares has successfully developed a comprehensive portfolio of laser-compatible chips. The launch of the compatible chips for the HP92/93 series represents another milestone for Ares.
