March 30, 2020
In these challenging times, many countries are impacted by the COVIS-19 pandemic and have adopted robust quarantine procedures and regulations. To support the industry and aid in recovering the global economy, Apex has taken the following actions.
Apex resumed work on the 10th February, and hit their 96% resumption rate on 10th March while maintaining individual personal protection and monitoring as well as product and industrial safety measures for the safety of our customers.
Just days after achieving their resumption rate, the Apex team swung into action to tackle the HP firmware update that was impacting printer owners using aftermarket consumables while working from home. The firmware update locked out aftermarket cartridges, getting printer owners involved in “printer virus” and affecting office and home printing.
The Apex team engineered its dedicated chip solution within 24 hours and then remotely updated the latest chip data through its Unismart Service Platform within 48 hours.
Globally, logistics priorities rightly focus on urgent food and medical supplies that can lead to delays in mo-priority products.
The global footprint of Unismart devices enabled customers to deliver around the world to provide the latest updated cartridge chips, despite the global logistics situation.
The Apex development team Apex strives to promote the application of its MCU chip technology in the medical industry and assists Chinese medical equipment helps the world.
It actively facilitates and coordinates capacity planning and resource integration within the finished cartridges’ upstream and downstream segments, letting companies in the industry survive the epidemic.
Apex said of the incident “At a time when our customers need a stable and secure supply of cartridges, each participant in the industry should embrace and overcome this global challenge of COVID-19 in a more proactive manner by protecting consumers’ safety and restoring socio-economic order.”
