The OEM has been maintaining its campaign against patent infringing products on Amazon with the filing of another Report Infringement Form.
On this occasion, Canon has filed a form with Amazon.co.uk, regarding the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the U.K. portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407.
The product concerned is the cartridge model “CF280X” offered by Zhuhaishi Runxindayin Haocai Youxiangongsi under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B07G2WYHYJ.
Following receipt of Canon’s report, Amazon took down the respective products. Canon explains that these items are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280A and comrprise a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
