ALTKIN has added four new employees to its industrial ink manufacturing plant and print consumables sorting centre in Prudnik, Poland.
These strategic recruitments, in the fields of purchasing, sorting, maintenance and NPI (New Product Introduction), are designed to support business and stimulate innovation within the plant.
ALTKIN welcomes new recruits to its Prudnik plant in Poland: Katarzyna ?wiat?owska-Mazek – purchasing manager -, S?awomir Wojtkiewicz – sorting manager -, Piotr Podbor?czy?ski – maintenance technologist – and Denis Lempart – NPI (New Product Introduction) specialist.
The arrival of these four professionals marks an important milestone for the Polish ink production plant of ALTKIN. “These strategic hires reinforce not only the company’s ability to meet market demands, but also its commitment to innovation and sustainable, responsible practices. We are delighted to welcome Katarzyna, S?awomir, Piotr and Denis to ALTKIN,” said Joël Bitschnau, Director of Operations for the past twelve years at ALTKIN.
The plant in Prudnik, Poland, plays a central role in ALTKIN’s production ecosystem. Specialising in two activities – the manufacture of industrial inks and the remanufacture of consumables for professional printers – it is equipped with fully automated production lines and ensures product quality certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 industry standards.
The WEELABEX-certified site employs around 80 people and operates a fleet of around 100 machines, compatible with all the major brands on the market, including HP, Epson, Canon and Brother.
ALTKIN Industrial Inks (A2I) manufactures industrial inks for a variety of sectors, including textiles with its Direct to Films (DTF) and sublimation ranges, as well as advertising objects and printing on foodstuffs. A2I inks cover a wide range of printheads (Epson, Kyocera, Memjet, Fuji, Konica, HP etc.). By 2024, ALTKIN expects to be producing 120t of ink, manufactured in compliance with ISO 22000 food standards. Rigorous quality checks are carried out every three, six and twelve months after production, to verify key ink parameters.
On the remanufacturing side, the plant produces around 40,000 semi-industrial ink cartridges per month. The aim is to extend the range of inkjet cartridges for wide-format printers and plotters, label printers and semi-industrial printers for coding and marking. This includes the extension of cartridges for Canon, HP and Epson, as well as the launch of new cartridges for Roland, Mimaki & Memjet.
“The Prudnik plant is a model of efficiency and modernity in Europe. We have well-established processes and production lines that support our operational excellence in the service of customer satisfaction. Thanks to this site, we are able to address all our customers’ subcontracting needs in terms of ink development and cartridge remanufacturing,” concluded Joël Bitschnau.
