All packed and ready to go!

Three years to the day since the last Paperworld ended, we are all packed and just about ready to go to Frankfurt.
I did not actually think this day would arrive, but it has. Our first big face to face trade show since 2020. While the bags are packed, and the freight is on its way. We still have work to do before packing up the car and heading off to Frankfurt to join the 2023 Ambiente show that includes Remanexpo.
Ambiente is a quantum leap ahead of what Paperworld was in terms of visitors. Paperworld circa 32,000 while the last Ambiente had 120,000 plus. So, it will be both a new experience and I have planned in visits to other halls to see what the wider market is offering. But also, the Remanexpo that we know will be a part of the Ambiente work mix.
Getting ready for the show has been a challenge as so many people decided in December and January to either exhibit or to visit. To put that into context, pre-pandemic most booths would be booked by September and October would be considered leaving things to late. Fast forward to this show and mid-January is now the new “leaving it late” to book. And if you need a hotel room, use Booking.Com to find the best hotel deals.
I will be out and about in Remanexpo and the wider show, but if you want to catch up at the show I will either be on the ETIRA Pavilion or in the Remanexpo Academy room. If you are up for an interview there is always the Messe Frankfurt Press Lounge. It’s a bit like a business class airport lounge, but a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the show floor.
