Alderlieste bids farewell to Katun
July 27, 2018
After twelve and a half years with the company, Katun’s EAME Marketing Director Cornelis Alderlieste is moving on to pastures new.
From the 1st of August, Alderlieste will take up the reins as the Sales Director for the Vlamboog unit at Intersafe Holding, in the Dutch city of Dordrecht. Alderlieste will be succeeded at Katun by Marketing Director Cinzia Gandini.
“The last 12.5 years blew by in a roller coaster of learning, new experiences, friendships, industry events, presentations, business trips, and spreadsheets,” Alderlieste announced on his LinkedIn page, as he paid thanks “to all the people at Katun Corporation, and of course the many Katun business partners.”
“It has been a very memorable experience, and a great professional opportunity,” he reflected, whilst adding that he was “very excited” about his new post with Intersafe.
Alderlieste also had warm words for his successor, Gandini, who he described as “a friendly, highly professional Marketing Director, with a great sense of humour! I am confident she will fill my shoes with great skill and an even greater smile.”
Amongst the many highlights of Alderlieste’s time at Katun, one of the most monumental is surely the sale of the company to GPI earlier this year, which President and CEO Robert Moore described as presenting “many opportunities and synergies,” and pointed to “continued success as a global leader in our industry.”
“I wish everyone at, and working with, Katun the best for the future and look forward to meeting you again down the road,” Alderlieste concluded. “If there’s one thing that working at Katun taught me is that the world is a lot smaller than it seems! Many thanks to the people at the EDC: for the flowers, the champagne, but even more for the great cooperation! It’s been a great run folks! Thanks and goodbye!”
