123inkt adds French site
October 7, 2019
123inkt announced its expansion into French-speaking Belgium via its new webshop site: 123encre.be.
The Dutch organisation has been operating for almost 20 years and has been active in Belgium since 2003. Until now it was only possible to place orders in Belgium via the Dutch website 123inkt.be. This will change with the arrival of 123encre.be. French-speaking residents of Belgium can order ink cartridges, office supplies, printers and more in their native language. The new webshop was officially launched on 2 October 2019.
Announcing the expansion, 123inkt said: “For some time now, people have been working hard behind the scenes on the French-language expansion of 123inkt.”
123inkt is one of the first webshops to enter the French-speaking market in Belgium. The Belgian market is growing fast and offers plenty of opportunities, 123inkt explained. Around 40 percent of all 11 million people in Belgium speak French. “There is enormous potential for growth there. The launch of 123encre.be must ensure a stronger position in this market,” 123inkt added.
In addition to the manuals, frequently asked questions and additional documentation, there were around 65,000 pages that needed to be translated. The company has completed this major project with in-house specialists.
“After we were sure that everything was right at the back of the website, we started working on the translations. We then tested the website extensively and now we are officially live in Wallonia!”, said an enthusiastic Gerben Kreuning, Director of 123inkt.
123inkt.nl recently won the ABN AMRO Webshop Awards in the categories of Office articles and electronics.
