The police force has released CCTV images of “a person officers would like to speak to” regarding the theft of hundreds of pounds’ worth of ink cartridges from a Sainsbury’s.

As UKNIP reports, on the morning of 7 March, a man entered the Sainsbury’s store in Hector’s Way, Newbury, carrying a bag, and picked various ink cartridges from the shelves before walking out again without paying.

The stolen cartridges have a collective value of over £1,800 ($2,349/€2,088).

PC Louise Eaton, a member of the Smarter Resolution team, explained, “I am releasing these images as I believe the person in the CCTV footage may have vital information that could assist my investigation.

“I am urging anybody who recognises the person to contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43190079022.

“If you do not wish to speak to police directly, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or make a report online.”
