The OEM has announced the filing of several more Report Infringement Forms with different national divisions of Amazon.
Two sets of forms were filed with Amazon Italy, requesting further toner cartridge removals.
The first form was based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CE505A” offered by Game Electronic Virz di Bruno Compasse under the ASINs B06XQSLRNS, B06XQL15PS and B008KM81CE.
Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CE505A and consist of a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The second form was filed with Amazon Italy based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding the cartridge model “CF210A” offered by Beijingshibeifangbangongyongpingongsi under the ASIN B07DL121SF. Afterwards, Amazon removed the product concerned, which is compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model “CF210A” and comprises a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, it comprises an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.
Finally, Amazon announced the filing of Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the German portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding the cartridge models “CC530A”, “CC531A”, “CC533A” and “CE322A” offered by Handelsagentur Silhan GmbH under the ASINs B007QBAGE6, B007QBAAJM, B007QBABV4 and B007QBABP0.
Amazon also took down these respective products. They are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models “CC530A”, “CC531A”, “CC533A” and “CE322A” and provide a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, they also comprise an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.
