Static Control quells SA closure rumours

Dec 14, 2018 | 0 comments

The company has issued a robust denial of misleading claims that it is ceasing its South African components business.

In the announcement, Managing Director Stuart Lacey states categorically that “nothing could be further from the truth!”

Lacey adds that Static Control has “invested millions of dollars over the years in bringing the very best parts and supplies to the remanufacturers across Africa,” explaining in no uncertain terms that “this will not change.”

He goes on to elaborate on the possible cause of the rumours, relating them to Static Control’s decision to reshape its business structure in a way that will allow it to “best meet the demands of the marketplace in domestic South Africa.”

“This does not mean we will stop supplying you, our valued customer, with the range of quality products you rely on from Static Control,” Lacey continued, encouraging people to get in touch if they had any concerns surrounding the announcement.

Lacey attributes the source of the mistruths to “sales staff at CMYK Industries, under the direction of Patrick Naude.” It is claimed that they have sent out multiple emails to SCC’s customers.
