The OEM has announced the filing of further Report Infringement Forms with Amazon Italy.
One of the forms was filed based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge models “CE505A” and “CF280A” offered by Internet Brand Development (HK) Ltd. under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01E9T0Q2Y and B01B4EQQR6.
Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models CE505A and CF280A and comprise a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
The other form was filed based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280A” offered by Punto Rigenera S.r.l. under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01CYI65E0.
After receiving the form, Amazon took down the respective products, which are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280A and comprise a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
These forms are the latest in a string of reports filed by Canon with Amazon concerning products which allegedly infringe the OEM’s patent.
