The US-based company has expanded its MICR line-up with AccurioPrint 2100 mode.
TROY Group, Inc. has expanded its production MICR printer line-up with the Konica Minolta AccurioPrint 2100 MICR model.
Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) is a specialised printing technology used mainly for financial documents such as cheques. MICR toner contains magnetic particles that enable machines to read and verify printed characters, thereby reducing fraud risks and facilitating secure processing. The technology is widely used in the United States for cheque processing, though it has become less common in other regions as electronic payments replace paper cheques.
The new entry-level production system is designed for secure cheque printing environments. TROY has equipped the AccurioPrint 2100 with its patented MICR Toner Secure, which the company says provides “ultimate check security.”
Key features include print speeds of up to 100 impressions per minute and media handling with up to 9,000-sheet input capacity.
TROY, based in the United States, specialises in MICR printers and anti-fraud security solutions for financial and government markets. The company said the official launch of the AccurioPrint 2100 MICR will take place in the coming weeks.
