Ricoh announced it has been named as one of the Supplier Engagement Leaders for the fifth consecutive year by CDP, a global nonprofit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system.
The company said that this recognition reflects Ricoh’s top score in CDP’s 2024 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). The SEA evaluates how effectively companies engage with suppliers on climate-related issues within their supply chains.
Ricoh earned this recognition based on its initiatives to deliver energy-efficient products and solutions, collaborate with business partners, and promote decarbonization both within the Ricoh Group and across its supply chain. Ricoh also conducts supplier briefing sessions and asks key suppliers to set medium- to long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets. These efforts have led to Ricoh’s consistent high rating for five years in a row.
Climate change remains one of the most pressing global challenges. Ricoh added that it continues to implement energy-saving measures and transition to renewable energy sources in its operations. Through engagement with business partners and customers, Ricoh strives to help build a zero-carbon society across the entire value chain.
