Bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in international distribution and office supplies, Jonathan Metcalfe is set to drive Viking’s growth in the UK and Ireland.
RAJA Group has appointed Jonathan Metcalfe as Managing Director of Viking for the UK and Ireland. He took up the role in April 2025 and reports to Emmanuel Clair, Interim Managing Director responsible for the RAJA Office business area.
Leading a team of around 200 people, Metcalfe will be responsible for accelerating Viking’s growth in the UK and Ireland, two priority markets. The company explained that Viking has experienced particularly strong growth in Ireland since 2022, supported by the opening of a customer service centre, a growing sales team, and the establishment of dedicated fulfilment facilities in Dublin.
Jonathan Metcalfe brings extensive executive leadership experience and a track record of leading both UK and International teams. Prior to joining the RAJA Group, Metcalfe served as Regional Managing Director for the UK, Nordics, and Eastern Europe at Manutan Group from 2022. Before that, he held the position of Managing Director for Manutan UK’s Enterprise Businesses from 2019 to 2022. He also spent nearly four years as Managing Director for Staples Online in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
Jonathan’s experience includes over a decade at electronics giant RS Components, where he held various senior roles, including Head of Global Strategic Suppliers, Global Category Head for Electrical and T&M as well as overseas operational roles.
Viking is part of RAJA Office, the office supplies business area of RAJA Group, which also includes companies such as Mondoffice (Italy), JPG (France), Kalamazoo (Spain), Bernard (France, Belgium), and Welcome Office (France). Operating in 10 countries, RAJA Office provides businesses and public sector organisations with office supplies, furniture, equipment, and cleaning and hygiene products.
