Officeworks announced the upcoming opening of its new Beenleigh store on 11 June.
The new store will launch with a team of 42, reinforcing Officeworks’ continued commitment to investing in Australian communities and creating local job opportunities.
Led by experienced Store Business Manager Cameron McGhie, the Beenleigh team will include four leadership roles and approximately 42 new recruits, with final team numbers to be confirmed. Five team members have transferred from nearby stores, several of whom are local to Beenleigh. Remarkably, one team member is relocating with their family from Bathurst, NSW, something that Officeworks identifies as a testament to the draw of this exciting new opportunity.
Recruitment for the Beenleigh store is well underway, with the first new team member already training at Officeworks Loganholme. All recruits will complete training at surrounding stores before transitioning to the Beenleigh site.
Cameron McGhie brings over a decade of experience with Officeworks, having led teams across Queensland at locations including Browns Plains, Pimpama, and Nerang.
Counting down the days to opening and as excitement begins to build in the local community, McGhie shared, “It’s been incredible to see the interest and excitement from the community already — even with just our blue wall up, locals have been stopping by to check out the site. We can’t wait to officially open the doors and welcome everyone in to experience the new store.”
A standout feature of the new store is the Konica Minolta same-day printing machine, which will offer instant printing for business cards, flyers, invitations and more. Other key store features include:
- A large early learning section tailored to Beenleigh’s growing young family demographic, offering educational toys, learning tools, and stationery.
- A dedicated art section designed for hobbyists and creative professionals.
- A business-focused layout that enhances access to professional tech and office solutions.
Kylie Brockett, Head of Property at Officeworks, said “The new store has been carefully designed and located to support the needs of local families and businesses, offering greater convenience, an expanded product range at our low prices, and a continued focus on sustainability. Key features include an extended art range, same-day printing with our Konica Minolta machine, and plans to install solar panels as part of our commitment to making bigger things happen for our customers, team, and the communities we serve.”
The opening coincides with the Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal, and Beenleigh’s charity partner will be the Kids in Need Association — raising vital funds for children with disabilities and serious illness across Northern NSW and the Gold Coast.
