The company sees robust gains in chips while printer business delivers solid base.
Hubei Dinglong posted strong results for 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, with growth driven by expanding chip-related sales and stable performance from its mature printer segment.
Full-year 2024 revenue rose 25.1% year-on-year to ¥3.34 billion ($462 million/ €422 million), while net profit attributable to shareholders surged 134.5% to ¥520.7 million ($72 million/ €66 million). The momentum carried into Q1 2025, with a 16.4% rise in revenue and a 72.8% jump in net profit to ¥141 million ($19.5 million/ €18 million).
Semiconductor materials are now the company’s primary growth engine. Sales of CMP polishing materials rose 71.5% in 2024 to ¥716 million ($99 million/ €91 million), supported by orders from major domestic wafer fabs. Semiconductor display chemicals, including OLED materials, more than doubled to ¥402 million ($56 million/ €51 million), while lithography materials entered production with promising early orders.
Hubei Dinglong’s printing and copying consumables division remains a vital, if mature, part of the portfolio. The segment generated ¥1.79 billion ($247 million/ €230 million) in 2024 revenue, holding steady despite market saturation. In Q1 2025, revenue eased slightly to ¥1.75 billion ($242 million/ €226 million), with an estimated profit of ¥135 million ($19 million/ €17 million).
The company achieved key milestones in this division, including colour toner sales exceeding 2,000 tonnes and increased output from fully automated cartridge lines. Inkjet cartridge revenue and profits rose year-on-year, supported by efficiency gains, supply chain improvements, and better capacity utilisation.
Dinglong also maintained high levels of R&D investment, committing ¥462 million ($64 million/ €58 million) in 2024—13.9% of revenue—to support innovation across all business lines.
