Five stars for Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C

by | Apr 15, 2025

The Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400 and AM-C550 business inkjet printers have received a five-star rating from DataMaster Lab, an independent testing institute for office printers.

The two AM-C inkjet printers with Heat-Free technology were recognised primarily for their high reliability and low power consumption. After rigorous testing, DataMaster Lab also described both printers as “highly productive,” offering print speeds of 100% in duplex mode and 94% and 92%, respectively, in workgroup mode (Intelligent Processing). The very short first-page-out time was also praised.

The reliability of the devices and the low frequency of consumable replacement were also key factors in the award. Testing of the WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400 revealed that it required only one-third of the consumable replacements compared to similar printers in the 40-49 ppm A4 colour market segment. The same test found that the WorkForce Enterprise AM-C550 required only half as many consumables as other printers in the 50-59 ppm A4 colour market segment.

Both models were also recognised for their “exemplary environmental credentials,” as their typical power consumption is “only about one-third of that of competing models.” DataMaster based this rating on a monthly print volume of 5,000 sheets. Finally, both products were also praised for their “excellent” scanners, which offered “extensive scanning functions.”

Gareth Jay of Epson Europe said: “We are delighted that our printers have been awarded five stars by DataMaster. This recognition validates our commitment to consistently providing our customers with outstanding products. Like all our printers with Heat-Free technology, the AM-C400 and AM-C550 significantly reduce power consumption compared to competing products, while delivering reliable, high-quality printing and scanning results every time.”
