Epson MFP recognised in The EdTech Awards

May 14, 2021

Epson America, Inc. announced its WorkForce ST-2000 colour multifunction Supertank printer was named an EdTech Awards 2021 finalist under The EdTech Cool Tool Awards’ “Product or Service (General)” category.

Presented by EdTech Digest, The EdTech Awards is the largest recognition programme in all of education technology. The programme recognises the biggest names in and around education for outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere.

“This past year has been filled with challenges for educators and Epson recognises the importance of providing education technology for teachers and students that is not only reliable and enhances productivity, but also is not burdensome to operate and maintain,” said Alan Chen, Product Manager, Business Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “From lesson plans and informative packets to homework assignments and colourful projects, Epson Supertank printers provide users with thousands of pages of ink to ensure all documents are printed without the worry of running out of ink at inopportune times.”

The WorkForce ST-2000 offers productivity for classrooms, homes and small offices. It features Epson’s supersized ink tanks and includes up to 2 years of ink in the box – enough to print up to 6,500 pages black/5,200 colour. Each replacement bottle set is equivalent to about 90 individual ink cartridges with zero cartridge waste. Users can save up to 90% on ink with low-cost replacement ink bottles vs. ink cartridges. The ST-2000 also offers wireless printing from tablets and smartphones, plus Wi-Fi Direct and auto 2-sided printing, making it a convenient printer to help empower students and teachers with near-limitless colour printing throughout the school year and beyond.

“The worldwide pandemic put education and training to the test, but remote learning and working—in many unexpected ways—ultimately brought us closer,” said Victor Rivero, who as Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest, oversees the programme. “Trying times revealed strengths and capabilities of people, and workability of products. Leaders and innovators with their tools and techniques worked hard to keep the learning world connected to knowledge and each other. As so many have shown, nothing can stop the human spirit—and we continue to move forward.”
